SCIENCESPLORATION®

We develop our curriculum on the premise that science is an active process based on inquiry. Through “hands on” activities children learn through active participation, such skills as observing, inferring and experimenting. They gain “minds on” experiences as they are encouraged to describe objects and events, ask questions, construct explanations and communicate their ideas to others. The design of our curriculum is based on the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) benchmarks.

MATHSPLORATION®

Our courses are designed to present abstract mathematical theories in a concrete manner, providing opportunities for children to understand the concepts through activities that are relevant to everyday life. Our mathematics classes do not focus on the mechanics of calculations, but support our children in acquiring knowledge and confidence to become active learners who can analyze and represent mathematical ideas and relationships, as envisioned by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM). The design of our curriculum is based on NCTM’s standards.

TECHSPLORATION®

Using multimedia technology, this program brings out the creativity in students through engineering principles, as well as arts and design. This is designed for children to work with programming logic without the burden of programming syntax, and enables children to focus on learning through design. Our technology and engineering curricula is based on the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA) Standards.

CODESPLORATION

All the topics are project based exploration, incorporating coding and electrical engineering. There will be different themes every month involving digital gadget research and development, furthermore, the open ended development process allows for children to be exposed to a multitude of coding concepts enabling them to acquire technical skills, investigate problems, and create ideas at their own pace as the complexity of each project will depend on the ability and past exposure of each individual child. Topics include coding apps, games, and stories, and designing and crafting multimedia elements. The various virtual coding environments range from block based coding – to text based programming – to machine learning – to virtual 3D environments.

ROBOTS & GADGETS

Our curriculum involves open ended project based learning with different themes every month. Children will be exposed to a variety of coding concepts whereby they will acquire coding skills through exploration and experimentation at their own pace. The complexion of each project will be customized to the ability of each individual child. Topics include coding apps, games and stories, and designing and crafting multimedia elements. The virtual coding environments range from block based coding to virtual 3D, incorporating both text based and machine learning.
